CV Kids provides engaging, faith-building experiences that teach God’s Word in age-appropriate ways. It is our goal to partner with families to lead children into a growing relationship with Jesus. At CV Kids, your children should expect to feel loved, make friends, and grow as disciples who discover Jesus and make Him known.

Kids FAQs

When do you offer CV Kids classes?

Currently, CV Kids classes are offered on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. We also offer Zoom classes weekly. Additionally, children are encouraged to attend church with their parents when CV Kids classes are not offered. Activity packets are available every Sunday, and a play area is designated in the back of the sanctuary especially for families.

Where do I take my kids to class?

When you arrive at Crestwood, a greeter will show you to our CV Kids check-in area where one of our CV Kids volunteers will assist you. They will gather some basic information, print security name tags for both you and your child, walk with you and your child to their classroom, and introduce you to your child’s teachers. After service, you can pick up your child in their classroom with the security tag you were given before dropping them off.

What will my kids do in class?

Plenty of time is given to play and interaction. In addition, our curriculum focuses on helping your child know God loves them, speaks to them, and that they can respond to Him.

The focus for babies and toddlers is that they feel safe and loved. They are reminded every Sunday that “I love the Bible, God made all good things, I love Jesus, and God made me and loves me.”

Ages 4 through 5th grade will stay in the sanctuary with parents until after worship, at which time they will be released to class. They will have a lesson from The Jesus Storybook Bible. Our curriculum then helps them to grow in spiritual disciplines, hearing God’s voice, knowing how to pray for each other, and responding to what God says.

Can I bring my kids to the sanctuary with me?

Absolutely! We love children at Crestwood, and they are always welcome. We offer activity packets with coloring sheets for kids every Sunday, and we also have a designated play area at the back of the sanctuary if they need some room to explore under your supervision.

What about my child with special needs?

We realize not all kids are the same. As much as possible, we try to accommodate the needs of all children in the classroom. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s special needs, please contact us.

Will I be notified if there is a concern with my child?

Yes, CV Kids leaders contact parents personally or via text message during the service if there are any issues or concerns with a child.

Is the environment safe?

All CV Kids volunteers are background checked and safety trained, and all classrooms contain video cameras. Children are encouraged to regularly wash hands and/or sanitize, and snacks and art supplies are individually packaged. Masks are not required but welcomed. UV-C air sanitation helps provide a safer environment throughout the Crestwood facility. If your child is exhibiting any signs of illness or has been recently exposed to Covid-19, please do not bring your child to CV Kids.

CV Youth

CV Youth is for our mighty warriors from 6th to 12th grade. Join us on Sunday nights at 6-8pm in the Basement for worship, Bible study, discussion, and games. Questions? Contact our Student Ministries Director Hillary Tivis.
