Dear Crestwood family,

We have some important information to share with you. Hillary Tivis has made the difficult decision to resign her position as Student Ministries Director, which includes CV Kids and CV Youth. She will be moving to Arizona in a couple weeks to focus on some personal matters.

Hillary has made a huge impact on our church family. When she joined our team as the youth director in the fall of 2020, her presence was a gift from the Lord. Our youth ministry flourished under her care. We were excited when she agreed to also lead CV Kids this January. She will be greatly missed.

We are committed to the spiritual and emotional growth and development of your children. We are already in the process of laying plans to make sure your children are being well cared for as a vital part of our church family during this transition time. We will keep you informed in the process. Please be praying with and for us as we seek God’s plan for the next season of CV Kids and CV Youth.

Hillary’s last Sunday with us will be this Sunday, May 22. Sunday evening she will spend time with the youth group and give them an opportunity to say goodbye to her. She leaves for Arizona in the next couple days. I’m sure she will appreciate your prayers and any well-wishes as she journeys into this next season of her life.

We are incredibly grateful for all Hillary has poured into our church family. She has loved and served our children faithfully. We bless and release her to pursue all the Lord is doing in this next season of her life. We pray for her continued healing and well-being. We honor her for all she has done for our community.

If anyone would like to contribute to Hillary financially, we encourage you to bring cash or checks written to Hillary this Sunday. We will give you an opportunity to give to her at the end of the service.

Love and blessings,
Brian and Jeanine

From Hillary:

I first wanted to say what an honor it was to get to serve your kids as well as serve alongside all the incredible volunteers we have. I’ve made the hard decision to step away from ministry for a bit to focus on my mental health and heal through some things I have been avoiding over the years. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to pour into your kids this past season. It has definitely been a joy. 🙂
